Bobby Deol (Vijay Singh Deol) could not impress in his first
film 'Barsaat'. But assets in the form of good looks and a good deal of
patience slowly led him to the path of success. He waited for time to pass
and refused dozens of films till Kareeb happened. Kareeb may not have
created box-office records but Bobby's talent was noticed.
He has the advantage of a 'filmi' background so he didn't have to struggle
too much. He just had to say that he also wanted to get into filmbiz and
Dharmendra summoned all the resources at his command to make it happen. Big
brother Sunny put his own career on hold to give his all to Bobby's Barsaat.
Bobby's re-birth with 'Gupt', 'Soldier' straightened box-office records for
the actor. Unlike his father and brother, Bobby is not really known as
action hero. He is doing more romantic roles. |
